  Big sign says: purchase every kids meal come with a free ice cream. Small menu says 13 years and under to get the free ice cream. My wife only eats small amount of food, and she would like to get the kids meal, like she normally does, and on the big sign says free ice cream, so we order it. Then when the meal is ready we ask for the ice cream, the stuff tell us it is for 13 and under then shows the small writing on the small menu, and say if we want the ice cream it is for $1. It is not about the money, it is about expectation and disappointment, it is about customer services. As in a small town you probably does not care about what customer service and customer experience, otherwise your stuff won't argue $1 ice cream with the customer, especially when you have a big misleading sign in the restaurant.
